TürkçeTerms of Service — Scrome
Last updated: September 9, 2026
By using Scrome (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service and to the Scrome Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. These Terms apply to the Scrome Android and iOS applications and the backend services we operate for that product.
1. Description of Service
Scrome is an English-learning application from Emre Space (emrespace.com) for Android and iOS. It offers Daily Routine, word cards, bundled grammar notes, optional study partnership (one accepted partner, no messaging), and optional classroom features for students and teachers (assignments, submissions, and grading).
You sign in with Google. On iOS, Sign in with Apple may also be available. Scrome does not currently include ads or in-app purchases.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). The Service is not directed to children. If you join an institution or class, you represent that you are authorized to do so.
3. Privacy Policy
Our Privacy Policy at https://www.emrespace.com/en/scrome/privacy_policy (Turkish: https://www.emrespace.com/tr/scrome/privacy_policy) explains how we collect and process information. It is part of these Terms.
4. Your account
You must create a Scrome account and keep your username unique and lawful. You are responsible for activity on your account and for the devices where you stay signed in.
You may sign out on this device or permanently delete the account from Settings. Deleting the account removes the data we store for that user as described in the Privacy Policy. It does not delete another student’s or teacher’s records, and it does not delete grammar notes that ship in the app binary.
5. Learning content and progress
Word catalogs and practice items are provided through our API. Grammar notes in the app are for personal study. Educational content is not a substitute for an official exam, diploma, or teacher’s independent assessment.
You remain responsible for how you use your own answers and recordings. “I already know this” on Daily Routine word cards is accepted without extra verification, as described in the product.
6. Classroom use
Teachers assign work and may grade writing and speaking. Students authorize Scrome to show their submissions, including speaking recordings and writing text, to teachers in that class for grading. Published scores and feedback may be visible to the student.
You must not share class or institution codes you are not authorized to use, impersonate another student or teacher, or submit work that is not yours when the assignment requires your own answer.
7. Study partner
Partnership requires mutual acceptance and is limited to one active partner per user. Search is by unique username only. There is no chat. You agree not to harass others through requests or profile information.
8. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service lawfully and in accordance with Google’s, Apple’s, Google Play’s, and the App Store’s policies. You must not:
- Use the Service for unlawful, abusive, or harmful purposes.
- Attempt to circumvent security measures, rate limits, or access another user’s account.
- Upload avatars, writing, or recordings you are not authorized to share, or content that infringes others’ rights.
- Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization.
9. Third-party services
The Service depends on third parties, including Google (Sign-in, Firebase, Play), Apple (App Store and Sign in with Apple where available), Vercel, Neon, and Vercel Blob. Their terms and privacy practices apply to their processing. Outages, quota limits, or policy changes at those providers may affect Scrome.
10. Service availability and updates
The Service is provided “as is”. We strive for reliability but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, that every practice item will load, or that every classroom submission will succeed. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice when possible.
We may require you to install a minimum app version (force update) before you can keep using the Service. Older builds may stop working when that gate is enabled.
11. Account deletion and termination
You may permanently delete the Scrome account from Settings. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we must do so to protect the Service or comply with law.
12. Intellectual property
The Scrome application, name, branding, bundled grammar notes, and related materials are owned by Emre Space or its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for your own English study as described in these Terms.
Your profile photo, writing answers, and speaking recordings remain yours. Using the Service does not transfer ownership of that content to Emre Space; you grant us a license to store and display it as needed to provide the Service (including teacher grading).
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including lost progress, missed assignments, or third-party outages.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence remain unaffected where they cannot be waived.
15. Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. We will post updates on this page and revise the “Last updated” date.
