Terms of Service — re4box

1. Description of Service

re4box is an email management application from Emre Space (emrespace.com). It lets you connect mailboxes and automatically or in bulk apply actions you choose.

You may connect Outlook / Microsoft 365 (Microsoft Graph), Exchange accounts (Exchange Web Services with the credentials you provide), and IMAP brands (Gmail, Yahoo / AOL, iCloud, Yandex, Fastmail) with an app-specific password. Gmail uses IMAP (imap.gmail.com) and a Google App Password — not Google OAuth or the Gmail API. Features include rules, sender discovery, inbox actions, Bulk Actions, optional push notifications, optional advertising on the Android and iOS free tier, and optional Premium.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) and have a valid Microsoft account, Exchange mailbox, or IMAP mailbox (Gmail, Yahoo / AOL, iCloud, Yandex, or Fastmail) you are authorized to use.

3. Privacy Policy

Our Privacy Policy at https://www.emrespace.com/en/re4box/privacy_policy (Turkish: https://www.emrespace.com/tr/re4box/privacy_policy) explains how we collect and process information. It is part of these Terms.

4. Your accounts and authorization

You authorize re4box to access and change the mailboxes you connect, including reading metadata, creating or updating Outlook / Exchange inbox rules, applying IMAP-only rules we store in re4box (including Gmail), moving, archiving, trashing, starring, and marking as read. On Outlook / Exchange / non-Gmail IMAP, Bulk Actions may also permanently delete messages after you confirm. We do not permanently delete Gmail messages. For IMAP brands you authorize IMAP LOGIN with the app-specific password you create for re4box — for Gmail a Google App Password, not your Google account password; not your Apple ID password; and not the password you use to sign in to Yahoo, Yandex, or Fastmail on the web.

You represent that you own or are authorized to manage each connected mailbox. You must not connect someone else’s mailbox without permission. You are responsible for keeping OAuth grants, Exchange credentials, and IMAP app-specific passwords under your control and for revoking access when you no longer want re4box to act on a mailbox (for Gmail, by deleting the App Password).

5. Your rules and mailbox changes

You are responsible for the rules you create and enable. Actions applied by your rules (including moving mail to trash) may be irreversible. re4box does not offer a Gmail permanent-delete rule.

Filter-capable rules may be stored in your Outlook or Exchange account. IMAP rules, including Gmail, are stored only in re4box (no native inbox filter at Gmail, Yahoo / AOL, iCloud, Yandex, or Fastmail) and applied when you save them and once per day at 00:00 UTC for new mail. Deleting re4box does not remove Outlook / Exchange inbox rules, or Gmail filters left from an older version of re4box. IMAP-only rules we stored are deleted with your re4box account. We are not liable for accidental data loss resulting from your rule configurations or mailbox actions.

6. Bulk Actions and inbox actions

Bulk Actions is a Premium feature. It applies a one-time job to a group of messages you select (for example spam/junk, older mail, unread mail, or one-click unsubscribe). You must confirm the action. On Outlook / Exchange / non-Gmail IMAP, permanent delete requires an additional confirmation. There is no undo or rollback. Batches already sent to the provider are not reversed if you stop the job. The job may continue on our servers after you close the app. Gmail Bulk Actions use Trash, archive, mark as read, or unsubscribe — not permanent delete.

Inbox multi-select, mail-detail actions, and Discover swipe (which creates a rule) also change mail in the connected provider. On Microsoft or Exchange mailboxes, organizational retention or hold policies may still keep a copy on the provider’s side; re4box does not bypass those policies.

7. Unsubscribe

When you use one-click unsubscribe, re4box sends an HTTPS POST to the unsubscribe URL advertised by the sender (RFC 8058). Where a sender provides a web page instead, re4box may open that page in an in-app web view. That page is operated by the sender; their terms and privacy practices apply. We do not guarantee that they will remove you from their list. Unsubscribe features are not available on Exchange accounts. IMAP brands can use one-click unsubscribe when the message advertises it.

8. Premium subscriptions

re4box may offer optional auto-renewing Premium subscriptions (monthly and yearly) on Android and iOS. The current free tier allows up to 2 connected mail accounts and 10 synced rules; those limits may change. Current Premium features may include sender discovery (full sender scan, subscription list, and unsubscribe), Bulk Actions, unlimited connected accounts, unlimited synced rules, an ad-free experience on Android and iOS, and premium branding. Prices, taxes, and local availability are shown in Google Play or the App Store at the time of purchase; we do not freeze those prices in these Terms.

Payment will be charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. Subscriptions are managed by you; auto-renewal may be turned off in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings after purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial, if one is offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Restore and entitlement checks use RevenueCat together with the stores. Premium is tied to a connected mailbox you select as owner and is available on devices where that owner is signed in. The desktop app does not sell in-app subscriptions; Premium on desktop follows that owner mailbox. Deleting the re4box account or uninstalling the app does not cancel a store subscription; you must cancel in store settings. Apple and Google, not Emre Space, set store commissions and billing mechanics.

9. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service lawfully and in accordance with Google’s, Microsoft’s (including Microsoft APIs Terms of Use), and your mail provider’s policies. You must not:

• Use the Service for spam, phishing, or other abusive purposes.
• Attempt to circumvent security measures, rate limits, or Premium gates.
• Connect or operate on a mailbox you are not authorized to manage.
• Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization.

10. Third-party services

The Service depends on third parties, including Google (including imap.gmail.com for Gmail IMAP), Microsoft, Exchange servers you specify, IMAP hosts for Yahoo / AOL, iCloud, Yandex, and Fastmail, Apple, Google Play, RevenueCat, Firebase, Vercel, Neon, Upstash, Google AdMob, and logo CDNs. Their terms and privacy practices apply to their processing. Outages, quota limits, or policy changes at those providers may affect re4box.

11. Service availability and updates

The Service is provided “as is”. We strive for reliability but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, complete processing of every message, or that every provider action will succeed. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice when possible.

We may require you to install a minimum app version (force update) before you can keep using the Service. Older builds may stop working when that gate is enabled.

12. Account deletion and termination

You may sign a mailbox out of this device in Settings without deleting your re4box account. You may permanently delete a re4box account from Settings for all connected providers. The web page at https://re4box.emrespace.com/delete-account currently verifies identity with Google only; Outlook, Exchange, and IMAP accounts (including Gmail) should be deleted in the app.

Deleting re4box data does not delete emails remaining in your provider mailbox, does not remove Outlook / Exchange inbox rules already created there, does not remove Gmail filters left from an older version of re4box, and does not cancel a Google Play or App Store subscription. IMAP-only rules we stored are deleted with your re4box account. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we must do so to protect the Service or comply with law.

13. Intellectual property

The re4box application, name, branding, and related materials are owned by Emre Space. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for your own mailbox management as described in these Terms.

Mailbox content remains yours and/or your mail provider’s. Connecting a mailbox does not transfer ownership of your email to Emre Space.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of mail resulting from rules, Bulk Actions, permanent delete on Outlook / Exchange / non-Gmail IMAP, or unsubscribe requests.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence remain unaffected where they cannot be waived.

16. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. We will post updates on this page and revise the “Last updated” date.
